Please note:
- Only items NOT found in the WRLC catalogue may be requested.
- Other libraries may have a range of restrictions on their collections and loans and not all material they hold will be made available (e.g. new materials or local history materials).
- Any fees charged by the lending library will be passed onto borrowers.
- A $3 service fee is applied as soon as the item is requested, and must be paid by the member even if they decide they no longer require the item. Fees appear as a charge on the borrower's card and are payable at time of collection of items.
- Some lending libraries charge a fee of $13.20. These include Universities, Special libraries, State libraries (except State Library of Victoria), the National Library of Australia and interstate public libraries.
- The State Library of Victoria lends items on the condition they do not leave our library premises.
- Copies of journal articles may incur a fee of up to $16.50.
- Response times to requests vary depending on the availability of item/s.
- Members will be notified of the arrival of materials as for a standard reservation.
- Members must adhere to conditions of loans from responding libraries.
- If an extension of borrowing time is required the request must be submitted 5 days before the due date. Renewals are not always granted and it is at the discretion of the lending library.
- Book straps attached to materials must be returned with the item.
- Members can check the progress of their request/s by logging on to LIBRARYLINK VICTORIA and clicking on MY REQUESTS.
