BookchutesIf you are unable to return items when the Library is open, all branches (except Harrow, Goroke and the Mobile Library) have an after hours return chute for the return of materials. Please ask library staff to indicate its location. |
BookclubsThe Library has a small collection of books suitable for Book clubs. Contact the Information Services Officer at HQ for details. |
ComputersAll branches have computers available for public use. These provide Internet access, Word processing and access to the Library Catalogue. Bookings are required, and the Library Internet & Computer Use Policy must be adhered to. A valid library card must be produced for each booking. Contact the relevant branch to make a booking. Children under 18 years of age need to have a parental consent form signed before they can use the computers. |
PhotocopiersPhotocopiers are available at all branches with the exception of Goroke and Harrow. Colour photcopying is available at the Horsham and Stawell branches. |
Reservations (Holds)Items in the library collection that are on loan or located at another branch may be reserved for you. You may place the hold yourself via the Library catalogue, or staff can place a hold for you. A letter or email is sent when the item is avaiablee for collection. Reserved items not collected within two weeks will have the hold cancelled. |
Interlibrary Loans & Suggested PurchasesMaterial not held in the Wimmera Regional Library Corporation collection may be requested from other libraries. Please see staff to discuss this and make a request. Fees apply for this service and costs charged by external libraries are passed on to borrowers. Many libraries also have restrictions about what items they will loan, or apply conditions of use. Books in languages other than English can be obtained via InterLibrary Loan on a regular basis. Please see staff if you are interested in this service. Alternatively, you may suggest that the library buys a copy of a book in which you are interested. |
Housebound CustomersCustomers who have difficulty in making personal visits to the library can access library materials via our House Bound Service. Please see or phone branch staff to disucss this. |
Institutional BorrowersThe Library provides an Institutional membership service for schools, kindergartens, aged and special accommodation agencies throughout the Wimmera region to enable a representative of the organisation to borrow materials for their patrons. Application forms and details can be obtained from branches. |
